SCHEDULE OF WATER RATES

Since its formation, EAWA has worked diligently to provide you with a high level of service while minimizing the impact of rate adjustments. Taking this same prudent approach, an evaluation of the current and upcoming regulatory requirements, capital projects needed to maintain our system, and inflationary pressures necessitate a new billing structure and adjustment of rates to maintain continued investment in our water infrastructure.

Your water bill consists of the sum of: 1. a base service charge based on the size of your water service or meter; and 2. your water consumption charge. The base service charge does not include a base amount of consumed water per quarter; all customers will be billed for all water used each quarter.

The revised rate structure is effective January 1, 2024 and will be reflected in the first quarterly bill that will be sent on March 31, 2024.

The water rates for the Elizabethtown Area Water Authority customers shall be billed on a quarterly basis, based on the following Schedule of Service Charges and Water Rates as set in Resolution 2024-4 (Approved January 3, 2024) :

  1. Customers are billed for all water used each quarter. Most residential customers have a 5/8″ or 3/4″ meter.
  2. Consumption is billed in 1,000 gallon increments, rounded to the nearest 1,000

Unit billed for usage of 18,000 gallons (typical usage for a home with 4 occupants @ 200 gallons per day):
